Pastoral Committee

The Church of St Joseph in the Rock in Ballyshannon has a very strong Pastoral Committee and their aim is to support the faith life of the parishioners of all ages. The Parish Priest presides over the meeting of the Pastoral Committee.

The Pastoral Committee is a group in which priests and people and people work together as partners, to build up a truly Christian community.  It is hoped to do this in the following ways –

      (a)        to involve parishioners in the celebration of Mass and the Sacraments

      (b)        to encourage people of all ages to be involved in the faith life of the Parish

      (c)        to interact with other groups in the Parish to further the values of the Gospel and in so doing enrich their own lives.

     (d)        to set up further sub-committees such as a baptismal group / bereavement group and prayer groups to support parishioners at important times in their lives.

The Pastoral Committee are open to any suggestions Parishioners may have in the furthering of these aims.
